This 8 week course will cover the most important character design fundamentals needed to work as a professional character design in the animation and game industry today. The lectures will focus on the most important things to consider regarding character design by breakdown professional level design reference, showcasing drawing demos to teach these fundamentals in visual detail and clarity, and individualized instructor created draw over feedback of each assignment you create. Our weekly live sessions will be filled covering animation and design topics from ranging from live character design drawing demo requests, industry stories and experiences, and comprehensive portfolio discussions, all focusing on what it takes to become a professional designer and helping you reach that goal. Instructor note : Every class I teach is designed for character designers of all levels. After working in this industry for 20+ years one thing I know is core design fundamentals are needed by every skill level of designer, so whether you are new to character design, an expert, or you are an idustry professional looking to freshen up your portfolio, I will tailor my feedback and expectations of your work based on your skill set.
